Ocotillo
Various flowers along the lower elevation in the park
Joshua Trees in bloom. They smelled really sweet, like fruity nectar. The tree and the bloom was teaming with bugs, it creeped me out.
You can see the snow capped mountain off in the distance.
It was so pretty.
Calico Cactus
Cholla Cactus Gardens also known as teddy bear cactus. They are not soft, the spines will jump out at you and embed barbs under your skin. Or so the brochure states.
Cactus buds
Desert Senna
Catching some warm rays of sunshine.
The sunset at Keys View.
Check out all the orbs in this! The next picture was taken just a second later but without a flash.

Time for a break
We are going to Joshua Tree on Friday. I think that every single wildflower is and will be in bloom. I cannot wait.
The last few days on my home from work I've wanted to stop and take pictures of the flowers. There are black eyed susans everywhere. In a few patches there are a few purple flowers in the bunch. It is so pretty. I just need to find the right patch and resist the urge to just keep driving and go home. (It is the end of the day and all)
So this weekend we will take a break from walking the dog, surfing the internet, answering the phone and listening to the radio. I won't think about proxies, or anything.
I might go pick up sTORI Telling to read while sitting at the pool. Also, Tori is doing a book signing the end of the month, I will not miss this opportunity like I did with the yard sale. Well depending upon the line, that yard sale was out of control.
Breaks are good I sure do need one. A pool, the desert, in the room and outdoor hot tubs, full moon and hiking. And of course the whole weekend with just me and Matt, that is the best part.
I'm also ridiculously excited to use some awesome combinations of LUSH products in the hot tub.
